How a week works

First, pick your fixed weekly slot, prepaid with no auto-renew (you can move it from your plan page anytime there's an opening, effective the following week). After that, it's these three, every week.

Review with your notes

Lock in what you learned with your lesson notes and flashcards.

Move through the curriculum

Between lessons, you have full access to the curriculum (Jump Start, Slow Japanese, and Practice Dojo) at your own pace.

When your package runs out, you're free to extend, or continue as an alumni for the materials alone.

Common questions

What level do I need to be?

Any level. Work through the curriculum together, clear up whatever's confusing, or just practice conversation. It adapts to your pace, your level, and how you like to learn.

Can I combine this with Janai Core or Plus?

Yes. They run independently and pair well with a cohort. The cohort gives you structure; the weekly session gives you Mana's full attention.

How do I join the lessons?

Over Zoom, from the Join button on your dashboard, or from the button on your 1-on-1 notes screen.

What if I miss a session?

Missed sessions can't be rescheduled or refunded. Your slot is a standing weekly time. If a different time works better from then on, move your slot from your plan page; it takes effect the following week.

What if Mana misses a session?

That week gets added to the end of your package, so you never lose out. Your paid time simply extends by a week.

What happens when my package ends?

Nothing auto-charges. Your sessions and access run to your end date, then pause until you extend. Extending keeps your slot and lets you choose any length again; if you don't, the slot frees up after a short grace period so someone else can take it. If you just want to keep the materials, you can continue as an alumni ($9/month or $90/year) for curriculum access.

Can I refund a package?

Full refund up to 24 hours before your first session. Just message us from the contact page and we'll take care of it. After that a package is non-refundable, since it holds a standing weekly slot.
